Re: Import Vans Quickbuild kit
Hi, I live in a rural area with difficult access. I used a shipper (OIA) that offered delivery, though they did not offer unload facility. I got a local farm contractor with large tractor and pallet loader and largish trailer to off load and move up to my workshop. Cost £100 but has worked very wel...

Import Vans Quickbuild kit
Afternoon all - sorry if this has already been covered elsewhere but I am looking to the next stage of my VANS RV7 build. Empenage is pretty much done but has taken far longer than I imagined. Re: Aluminium Priming
Many thanks everyone for you replies. In addition to posting the question here I also consulted my 84 year old Dad who served 30 odd years as an engineer in the RAF. He didn't even pause for breath and said I should definitely prime. I like the idea of the Tetrosyl Etch Primer so will go with that. ...

Aluminium Priming
Hi everyone, I am in the very early stages of a Vans RV7 build - I have ordered the preview plans, started converting my garage, boring the wife with the details etc. My biggest question at the moment is whether I need to prime the Aluminium parts. The Preview Plans have an interesting section about...

Re: Wanted - Any tooling for RV7 build
Thanks Ian. It's a long shot as imagine most keep their tooling for repairs and/or satisfying the building bug in the future! I've succumbed to making some new tool purchases to get me started. Good Morning Chris I am in the same position as you. Just converting my garage to a aircraft production w...
