Has anyone recently gone through the above MOD process to change a classic old style tail wheel to the newer XS type. This is where the distance between the fuselage and tailwheel is extended by 30". Slick magneto ignition harness
The one of the leads near the spark plug on the ignition harness on my 0-200 is looking rather suspect with the braid having all but disintegrated and core looking rather flimsy . Is there a way/place/company I can re-terminate the end or do you have to bite the bullet and replace all four.

Thanks for the ideas and photos. Info I'm now getting locally suggests the safest way is to winch the whole plane up on its engine mounts with a portable hoist and get a tressel under the forward bulkhead. Thanks for all of the ideas and photos, most useful for further reference.

Just wondered how other owners had solved the problem of jacking up a wood+fabric plane ( Gardan Minicab for instance) that does not have any jacking points such as on the Pipers/Cessnas. Scissor jacks under the undercarriage leg look rather unstable as a way forward and gizmos like in the link belo...
