Re: GAR submissions
Tony, As far as l can see we need to give 4 hrs notice of our return to the UK. The GAR form is now an embedded part of the excellent Skydemon software, so it is dead easy to submit a GAR along with a checked Flightplan. Outside of Skydemon you should ensure the GAR is submitted in good time otehrwi...

It seems to have got lost amongst all the Kit Fox style copy cat designs. I cannot recall a single feature in this design which pitched it as being different from the others. The plan, kit and RTF market seems to have been fully populated with this type of plane. I know that progress is incremental ...

Brian, Yes of course the ground features will change but the main issue is positional aware ness w.r.t. airspace. I have a 7in PND device (a UMPC) installed with PocketFMS (another great product for peanuts) which l use for flight planning, weather and comms/airspace. The AWARE unit is secondary/bac...

I think NATS has met that challenge. They supply a lifetime update of all 1/2mil charts for life for £150. And you get a (free!) GPS device to read them from. Its the NATS Aware GPS chart viewer - the subject of this post! The fact you can also use the GPS in your car for navigation, etc etc is a bo...

Adam, What l do is to make notes in my fuel log and then ratio the times. The service is therefore calculated using a linear scale, 100% MOGAS equals 100hrs, 100% AVGAS is 50hrs, if its 50:50 then the service is done at 50% x 50hrs = 25hrs + 50hrs = 75hrs. 25% AVGAS would give a service at 25% x 50 ...

CX-4 Stress Calcs
I have an interest in the CX-4 and wonder what the current status of the design submission is? I own Aerodesign(UK) (the trading name of Ultraflight Ltd) which provides commercial services for aircraft design, stress analysis etc (l am listed by LAA in their Engineers referral list). It may be that ...
