Re: Kitfox II bungees
If the bungee mounts allow, look at winding on thinner long bungee cord to obtain tension and CSA of the original cord to mimic it's characteristics. And make off the ends with non slip knots as convenient ? Looser wire check straps as per eg Escapade can save you prop. should the suspect bungees gi...

Thanks !
Bags of time yet (he hopes) - I've got 20 years to go before I catch up with Ernie Horsfall.
Might I see you fly in this year ?

Re: Skins for Rans
The time has come to re-skin my S6-116 wings and think I will need a helping hand in the West Sussex area. I do have the build manual I have a pair of good used wing skins plus new Rans USA sleeves for the ailerons and flaps. I would like to hear from anyone has done it to talk to and/or is willing ...

Re: December Zoom 'pub' night details ?
Thanks Chris,
That saved a few of my gey hairs falling out !
Now as far as I recall the January 2021 Zoom meeting is next week, Friday the 29th.
I'm checking my e-mail in box regularly so as not to miss the link.
--- Provided poor Steve has any hours left to give us.
Regards,
mike.

Re: COVID Latest DfT advice, no leisure flying permitted.
The Government haven't had the benefit of time during this ever changing pandemic to deeply scrutinise their 'Guide Lines', so I ccept they aren't perfect. Nevertheless on the whole most intelligent UK inhabitants do their best to keep within them. Unfortunately a percentage either don't care, or it...

Re: December Zoom 'pub' night details ?
Thanks Chris, I suspect in that case it'll be just thee & me, I can't imagine dear Steve conducting our get together on that particular day ! Nonetheless at the Nov. Zoom meeting, where there were over 70 members, he did suggest a date in Decemebr TBA: close to the 25th Dec.AFIR. Meanwhile, "A Happy...

December Zoom 'pub' night details ?
Hi Steve,
I looked high and low on this forum and on the LAA Home pages too without seeing a squeak of this month's Zoom meeting.
Perhaps you'd kindly refresh and/or make it more accessible please.
mike.

Re: Repeal of stolen airspace LAA AGM motion by Zoom 18th Oct.
Today's AGM was neatly carried out and that ATZ motion was heavily supported. The overall downer ase how very few members indeed (247) from 7.5 thousand of us had sent in their proxy voting sheets, reflected in todays on-line attendance. Brave Tim Hardy & Steve Slater had risen earloy on a Sunday an...

Re: Repeal of stolen airspace LAA AGM motion by Zoom 18th Oct.
BTW. Please use your form to vote on item 6. Because I don't think with a Zoom AGM voting after the discussion on the 18th comes into play. Rather odd actually Steve, having to ask members to vote on the Motion as laid out in the magazine before hearing pro's, con's ??????? Still I sincerely hope en...

Repeal of stolen airspace LAA AGM motion by Zoom 18th Oct.
Anyone for or against the Farnborough, Brize, Oxford, Southend, Norwich grabs of great swathes of thinly used and now for GA almost no-go ATZ s are sure to want to join in the Zoom LAA AGM. It's on Sunday week the 18th October. All inputs and votes on the motion are to get the LAA to parley with oth...

Re: Ignoring PPR
I'm surely repeating stuff on a similar thread running on Flyer. BUT FWIW the Rans S6-116 tail wheeler takes fat tyres legitimately (I have) and makes it good for a soft West Sussex strip in winter. Top speed hardly altered, still caN cruise between 85 and 100 mph at 4,400 - 4950 rpm. Nat. prop sett...
