Re: Becker Radio AR4201

Thanks for your advice, checked the aerial contact which was good and the signal strength was also normal, however no modulation. Ended up getting the new Becker with 8.33 which we were planning to do next year, plugged it in and it worked perfectly. Air test last Monday and perfect at 10 miles & 20...

Becker Radio AR4201

Our very reliable Becker Radio has suddenly developed a fault. Reception is perfect, intercom also perfect, but transmission has suddenly gone from strength 5 to 1 Have tried both P1 & P2 and different headsets but no change. You can hear the relay click when pushing the PTT also the flag shows on t...

Re: Four more pilot/controller reports on FlyOnTrack

Brian,
I agree with you. It still amazes me that newly qualified pilots are not taught how to use a GPS.
Our recently retired CFI was amazed & delighted when I showed him Skydemon. Asked what he would prefer to use in poor vis he went for he GPS every time.

Re: The Sywell Strut is reforming - This Wednesday!

Good luck from the Shobdon Strut.
It helps when the venue is on an airfield, if we can help with ideas for speakers web sites etc let me know.

Shobdon Airfield

It's the Herefordshire Aero Club AGM next week & I wondered if any one had any comments (good or bad) they would like to make.
I am particularly keen to hear how members view Shobdon as a place to visit.

Clive was a great supporter of Home built aircraft, and he was a great help to me in my first build, a Mk4 Avid. I subsequently helped Clive on many occasions, ending up doing many of his CAA Star Annual Test flights, putting together his Jet Provost, delivering Tiger Moths by road for the film the ...

Shobdon Fly in

Nice to see a few brave hardy souls made it on Saturday. The met office forecast put most people off with gusts of 40mph.
We planned for 130 arrivals & in fact only 13 made it.
Today Sunday is a complete wash out, oh well ther's always next year.
