Re: Dual battery setup for Leberg ignition

Hi Jim, Thanks for that, very informative. I think I will go for 2 x 7AH gel batteries to take care of the ignitions and a split charger. I may then use a non charged lipo4 battery just for engine cranking with short wires but I am not 100% decided yet. I'll keep you posted on how things pan out. Ch...

I am rebuilding a kitfox mk2 and it has a KFM112M engine which utilises a Leberg dual ignition system. Now.. In the Leberg info it says I need 2 batteries, one for each ignition A&B. Rebuilding Kitfox Mk2 wings

Hi everyone, I will soon be rebuilding the wings from my Mk2 Kitfox and wondered if there are any fixes or mods I could incorporate to make it fly better ? I have read about optima wing kits and sticking a plastic former on the front spar and speed wing conversion but I don't know exactly what this ...

Re: Mylar, Oratex, X-lam, Diatex, Poly fibre, Seconite aaaaagh

Hi, Thanks for the comments. I have also done some googling and have asked friends for their thoughts. the conclusion I have arrived at is, I'm going to use Oratex 6000. I know that under certain light conditions the Oratex 600 can be translucent especially if its a light colour. The Oratex 6000 in ...

Using a PO box for aircraft registration

Hi everyone, I'm considering using a PO box for my aircraft registration as I'm not happy with my full name and address being published for all to see on G-info. To be honest, I find it absolutely shocking that in this day and age with identity theft and all sorts of scammers out there that the CAA ...

Mylar, Oratex, X-lam, Diatex, Poly fibre, Seconite aaaaagh

Hi. In a few months time I will be completely recovering my aircraft which is a kitfox mk2. Now you must bear in mind that I have not tackled a job like this before although I have done 'bits' in the past. So treat me as a newbie. As far as hands on stuff goes, I'm an experienced engineer and can do...

Re: 4 stroke 3 axis microlight

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the replies.

After some searching and deliberation, I am now the proud owner of a Mk2 Kitfox complete with KFM 112M 4 stroke engine.

Its in many many bits so I just need to figure out how to rebuild it.

I may do a rebuild thread.

Cheers,
Skelly.

Beagle Terrier dual toe brake conversion

Hi everyone. I have a technical question and hopefully some of you may have a workable answer for me. The question is... How much grief is it to remove the heel brakes from the P1 side of a Beagle A61 Terrier and retro fit a new set of pedals with dual toe brakes ? Is there an approved scheme for th...

4 stroke 3 axis microlight

Seasons greetings everyone. After much asking around and discussion I thought I would post our question here in the hope that someone can give me a definitive answer to it. Is it possible to have a 3 axis microlight taildragger that looks like a conventional aeroplane that can use a 4 stroke engine ...
