Engineering website issues

Me again,

When I click on the blue hyperlink for an SB in the Auster TADS section it simply takes me to the engineering home page, even if I click 'open in a new tab'. Anyone else get this?

Im on a mac laptop

Re: Permit renewal, two day turnaround

I posted my permit last week via email and have had no acknowledgement of reciept yet. Is this normal?

Re: Zips

While we're on it...why is the battery so far aft in the S7 anyway? It would make MUCH more sense to have the battery in the engine bay (easier access and shorter cables to name but two) and pay the price of a kilo of lead at the tail: the battery only weight about 7kg. Is there a reason for the bat...

Zips

I hace a Rans s7 which has the battery quite far aft and while it is reachable, it is perhaps best treated as a female dog. I'd like to add a V configured Zip access panel alongside the battery bay on the fuselage side and have read the engineering notes - it seems to be a 'trivial' mod, and the met...

I agree. A potentially good article spoiled by the requirement of the reader to make huge leaps. I think the author guilty of overestimating the readers knowledge. Of course, it might not be that...might be the editing.

Re: BANK FRAUD. The elephant in the room?

My wife was recently subject to the very same scam. Thankfully we lost nothing but we came close. A friend lost 17,000.

The fraudsters are very good and my heart goes out to the LAA.

Compass

I need a new compass for an aircraft and have looked at the vertical card type from LAS and others. They come with a lead and they say uses 14v for internal lighting. Well, my plane has no 'lectrics...am I right in assuming the compass will still be useable and visible even though the internal light...

My Aircraft Details section

I try to access the My Aircraft Details and it says "access denied". As the aircraft is registered to me, why would it say this? Anyone any ideas?
