Hi,
Does anyone have a 2-1/4” altimeter for sale please? It’s needed for the G-APNZ Turbulent restoration project.
Regards,
Colin Cheese

Spraying dope with HVLP
Hi,
Does anyone have any experience spraying coloured dope using HVLP? Just wondering how easy/practical it is.
Regards,
Colin

Re: Glues
Craig, Am not familiar with that adhesive but I suspect you might find it difficult to get LAA approval to use it. They are not unnaturally conservative. Prefere aka Aerodux has a long and known history which is why it is still widely used, does not deteriorate over time and is stable in high temper...

LAA Inspector advises pm?
Ok, not quite, but Boris gave Ernie a call the other day. Probably had some good advice for him. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-l ... e-52592624

Re: What Glue For Wood
Hi, West Epoxy is the T-88 alternative most widely available in the UK. I have never used Aerolite but other people do great work with it. I have always previously used Prefere (Aerodux) and as Tony said we are using gallons of it on the Comet, but have recently been using West Epoxy on two personal...

Re: Sources of Plywood
Try TLAC who supply ply certified to a standard acceptable to the LAA, also Lathams in Bristol may be able to help.
GL1 is pretty hard to find now.

Re: Wittman W10 TailWind
Hi Kevin,
It may be worth speaking to Peter Mather about his build process. I have his number somewhere and will pm it, am sure he won't mind you calling.
He has been keeping a build blog here: http://tailwindbuild.blogspot.co.uk

Zenith carb for the 'Royal' Turbulent
Hi, we are struggling to find either a gasket set or to borrow an airworthy Zenith 32KL P10 carb for the 'Royal' Turbulent project. This is currently a major problem to us as it is otherwise very close to flying. We have a source for gaskets in Germany, but they are closed this month. Suggestions fo...

Re: Strut by postcode
I guess a late reply is better than never? Not quite a postcode search (like for finding an LAA inspector) but go here: http://www.lightaircraftassociation.co.uk/ Click 'Clubs & Struts' then the sub-menu item 'Club & Strut information' that takes you here: http://www.lightaircraftassociation.co.uk/s...

Hi Ian,
Are you well? Have not seen you since last November.
I haven't actually laid my hands on any yet, but a few leads. Do you have some?
Regards,
Colin
