External PTT for Yaesu handheld

To save (lazy) me from trawling through dozens of back issues, can anyone advise the edition of the LAA mag which had instructions on how to connect an external PTT switch to a Yaesu handheld radio.

thanks

Re: Good News From Wales

I am afraid I cannot advise whether or not general aviation activity is allowed under the current guidance............ if you do decide to undertake general aviation activity, you must be able to reasonably justify your actions if challenged. In some cases, bespoke legal advice may need to be sough...

Re: For the attention of Steve Slater

Re the possibility of GA NOT being allowed in Wales at the moment, I have received some clarity as follows "The letter was from Simon Jones, Director Economic Infrastructure (Simon.jones@gov.wales) and basically said that the First Minister's announcement that day (29th May) still did not permit GA ...

Re: For the attention of Steve Slater

" if the Welsh Administration have any authority over the operation of aircraft anywhere in the UK." Don't know but have emailed the Welsh minister responsible for transport (Ken Skates) for clarity but am on a three week response time. Where/who did the information in Mr.Slaters news release come ...

For the attention of Steve Slater

Apologies for thread title but getting a response from LAA high command on this forum is like drawing teeth. With regard to the recent statement concerning the restarting of GA in Scotland and Wales, there appears to be some disagreement locally (in Wales) as to whether or not this is actually permi...

Re: Solo flights permitted- update from CAA

Re the recent news item concerning flying in Scotland and Wales, can the exact response from the devolved governments (in particular the Welsh one) be published so that we can decide whether or not to go flying.

thanks

Re: LAA and BMAA SUSPEND MERGER DISCUSSIONS

Sadly, we haven’t had similar reassurance from the BMAA council and their members Over on the red & yellow forum is a (copied) message from the BMAA chairman which states that their decision was to be made at a (now postponed) meeting on 23rd March. If this is so, isn't the decision on 20th March b...

Light Aviation November 2019

In the latest mag (page 6 - News) re the proposed 600kg opt-out etc. Under question 2 it is stated that If these aircrafy are classified as "Microlights" then minimum conversion requrements etc will " mean no need to change existing licence regulations ". Is it not the case that holders of EASA PPL'...

Re: RAeS GA Conference 2019

I have just registered for this conference. Although the LAA have not yet (@ 25/09/2019) confirmed their support, the RAeS will accept registrations from LAA members at the preferential rate.
(If anyone is interested)
