Jabiru engine - original G&S valves
I am looking to source some original Jabiru G&S exhaust valves for a top end rebuild as I am not too keen on the chinese made valves that are friction welded near mushroom. Price is better for a larger quantity so was wondering if there is any interest in block purchasing with other owners and then ...

Re: Excellent service for permit renewal
Here is my input ... My experience with the mod process is similar to steeve's. I have suffered similar delays and in one case gave up following many months of to'ing and fro'ing. I fully agree, the permit renewal process is efficient and fast. However, I cant really find any reason why it should no...

Re: Cheap GPS Updates
http://download.garmin.com/avdb/Garmin_Aviation_Database_Price_List.pdf Seems that updates for GPS Pilot III or any of the other supported models are actually $49.99 so £20.00 is not so bad after all. Just had my GPS Pilot III updated as well as a 296 and no probs to report. Why are updates so expen...

Re: Narco 810 display
hello graham,
just wondering if you can help. I have a narco 810 that has a power problem. cant afford a repair as they are very expensive and almost no-body will touch them now. do you still have the 810 -display ? I would be interested in using it to get my one going.
much appreciated,
dean

Narco 810+ radio packed up --- again
folks, my radio has packed up again. This is the fourth time in as many years and each fix is a mega expense! Just wondering if anyone happens to know a good electronics engineer that could possibly have a go at fixing it or if there is someone out there that has a radio that could do with a new hom...

Re: Cheap GPS Updates
Alan,
I checked the garmin link. It seems that the database used is old. You are paying for a 2002 aviation database update. Hardly worth it for 49.95 ....

Cheap GPS Updates
Does or anybody know of or has anybody used the GPS update service for older Garmin models advertised on AFORS (see link) ? The price seems very resonable and would give my Garmin Pilot a new lease of life (I have an old 2004 database on it). I am hesitant. Is there an easy and cheaper way to update...

re: dynamic prop balancer
Rod1,
we had planned to get together but unfortunatelly the maker of the PBs series has sold his europa so it is unlikely to happen anytime soon. I was wondering if there was someone local that could do a demo.
Where are you based?

Jabiru 2200A Oil Pressure
Hello again, did the following which made and enormous difference: 1. fitted the 3300 oil pump 2. changed hoses and fittings to 3/8" 3. fitted a thrmostatic Oil Cooler Adapter (laa mod) Pressures are good throughout the rev range and temps are now nominal. Total cost of changes was around £400.00. I...

getting approval to change MTOW on jabiru sk
Hello fellow aviators, I own and fly a jabiru sk. it is very capable aicraft with excellent flying characteristics and apart from a shorter body, it is the same as the SP. The jabiru sk has an mtow limit of 430kg while the SP is rated to 450 kg. in australia sk's are allowed up to 480kg mtow. I want...

Jabiru 2200A Engine Serial #1157 oil Pressure problems
Is this a possible explanation? I have had another thought on this matter that may just explain jabirus au reasoning and motives for insisting on having an oil cooler on later engines. Oil back pressure has been mentioned as the reason why we get higher OP’s with oil cooler. In order to prove whethe...
