Paul, this sounds familiar. I had the same problem with the Stromberg in the A65 some years ago and resolved it by a combination of slightly enriching the idle mixture and increasing the idle throttle setting from 550 to 600 rpm.

Bill, Spring steel undercarriages have been used on Falconar derivatives of the Jodel, but M Delemontez has stated that the Jodel spar is not designed for the loads imparted by that type of system.

Hi Mick I've mudguards on my D112 which were galvanised units sourced from a caravan / trailer supplier. Mild steel brackets were welded to mount the inboard side to the undercarriage inner leg using exhaust clamps and a single outboard strut is bolted to a captive nut on the end of the wheel axle. ...

Rob, be sure to do this on an individual pilot basis rather than promoting it as anything to do with a Strut or the LAA and hence infringing the Association's current 3rd party flying restrictions.

It should be OK for a D112 with a MAUW of 1168lbs and wing area of 137 sq ft (=8.5 lbs/sq ft)

The draft Club Charter doesn't come up on the search engine. As it is to be discussed at the NC on 24th Sept, can it be posted somewhere on this site so Strut members have access to it and can then advise their NC reps on how to vote?
