Fly In next weekend/ later in the year
I haven't arranged many BB fly ins this year due to the large number of fly ins already advertised. Those looking for somewhere to go next weekend might like to consider Keihuevel (Balen). this used to be one off the best fly ins of the year untill it was stopped some 12/15 years ago.It is on again ...

For years I have championed jodels, they are good but there is no denying they are short of space. My son has difficulty fitting in one. I recently bought a Minicab. What an eye opener! I feel as though I have discovered the best kept secret in aviation. It beats the Jodel on every front. My son fle...

So Mike from what you have just said these events are run by the struts who are NOT the LAA which takes me back to my point why should members subscriptions be used to underwrite strut activity? Just to play devil's advocate, why should a member that has no interest in supporting these events have his or her subs used to top up others insurance shortfall anyway? Brian, you always advocate members should pay their way so why is cross subsidy OK now?Why should ordinary members' subs be used t...

The pilots aircraft insurance covers the pilots laibility. The LAA's insurance should cover the liability of the LAA/Strut /Member. The member in this case IS the pilot. The non flying risks ( IE ) Strut liability and LAA liability are already covered irrespective of the number of passengers. The on...

I just don't get this. Maybe I'm being thick. Surely if the owner of the 4 seater has adequate insurance and can prove that to be the case, then he is covered. Why does he have to be insured twice? In the event of an accident, you cannot ( by law) be paid twice just because you have two seperate pol...
