Hi everyone , we are having a LAA / Flyer Forum Fly in at Tibenham. Everyone is welcome whatever you fly . There will be a BBQ , bar, showers for campers, bar, toilets for campers , bar and the canteen will be open Sunday morning for breakfasts. ( Did I mention there is a bar ? )

8 page report on Taylor Mono. Centre spread two page pic which always loses half the aircraft in the fold and makes it looked deformed.
Two pages of text on how to get into it and start the engine.Lots of comparisons with other aircraft ( does the writer want us to know he also flies anything else ...

Ok, I know for a fact that I have persuaded loads of people to join the LAA as a direct result of posting on Flyer forums.

Some of them have gone on to buy permit aircraft and I have even done surveys and permit renewals for them.

But what do I know, 30 years a member of the LAA , ex exec member ...

I think its sad that there are many more posts on the flyer forum asking for help on LAA matters than there are on here.

Given that most of these are from people looking to buy permit aircraft and thus become LAA members , it proves that the LAA are not reaching their audience.

It depends very much on the size and make.
Chris lodge props fetch a premiun as they are very good and he doesn't make them any more.
Ken 's props don't fetch anything like Chris' .
What they cost and what they are worth 2nd hand is not always simple , I have a four blade hoffman for a 150 lycoming ...

There is a loop hole that lets you charge for a single seater. However you would need the requesit insurance.

The event was great...Shame so many of the pilots were not.
On the way in I heard so much chatter on the radio from pilots that clearly had done no planning whatsover let alone read the instructions..
