Flizter Z-21 Plans

I'm having a sort out stuff to clear space and looking to sell an unused set of licensed Flitzer plans as I'm not likely to ever use them to build one, they're beautifully drawn and very detailed plans: £100 + postage costs.

Re: Adhesive for laminating spruce "I" struts

Aerolite 306 might be a suitable solution, it's a clear two-part adhesive that's been used in aircraft manufacture for years, it's certainly cleaner to use than Aerodux.

Re: Converting plans/templates into AutoCAD files

Thank you for the replies, I thought this would be probably a difficult thing to do. Having previously checked some of the parts against those shown in the drawings their dimensional accuracy isn't perhaps as good as it ought to be, especially when compared to the original component, so there'd need...

Converting plans/templates into AutoCAD files

Hello, Just wondering if any forum members have successfully converted blueprints into AutoCAD files or similar through scanning them and converting them into .DWG files to then use for water jet cutting of steel fittings? I'm at the stage where I have a lot of 4130 brackets to make and being able t...

Re: Midget Mustang

Charles, You might want to have a look at this if you're considering building a Midget Mustang. This is Jim Harter's Midget Mustang build project that he's been posting the progress of online for a few years. It's not entirely to the plans but it gives a very good idea of what's involved in building...

There's a fairly active Midget Mustang builders group over at Yahoo Groups, a few members of which are based in the UK.

Re: G-INFO access?

I seem to recall seeing something to say that some of the CAA websites are undergoing maintenance this weekend, although G-INFO seems to be working again at the moment.

Re: Mustang 2

Hi Mike, Engineering did quite an extensive analysis of the Bushby Mustang 2 about ten years ago. From what I can remember there were a couple of issues with the design, most notably that the undercarriage arrangement didn't meet acceptable standards and as such it was unlikely that the Mustang 2 wo...

Re: TURBULENT WING SPAR...HELP!

John, if I remember correctly the D.31A spar has additional ply webs on the front and rear face of the spar and would be noticeable from the cockpit where the center section is quite visible. Can't remember what the ply thickness is, might be 1/8" or 1/4". The additional webs only go so far out into...

Re: Subaru EA-81

There's a green and white Jodel D.18 that's powered with a converted Subaru engine and this aeroplane has been flying for quite some time, nearly fifteen years. The builder of the aeroplane carried out the conversion himself and it seemed to be a reliable and smooth running engine, albeit slightly h...

SPA Panther

I've been following the progress of this new Corvair powered aircraft project, the Sport Performance Aviation Panther, a few of which are being built in America. It's quite an interesting design and the frequently updated project blog is worth following. http://flywithspa.com/home.html http://flywit...

I am just in the process of writing a series of features for 'Light Aviation' about Thomas Podesva's series of aircraft including the Zlin. If you think the Zlin looks good wait until you see the Me109 and Bucker Jungmann! There are four versions of the Zlin available, two with fixed undercarriage a...
