From a bad experience last week. A horizontal prop took some of the paint of my rudder. Had the prop been vertical, it would have missed. This was of course due a to hangar rash incident. You could say my aircraft put some paint on to a horizontal prop as it was mine some one was putting away.

I too had an excellent rally. Having heard several remarks as to the airmanship of some, I do think the greater majority were well disciplined.

No excuse for the idiots though. Lots of info online and loads of advice available on various forums.

Far too much beer though.

It is really much easier than it looks. I have been to the last two and not being particularly experienced was also quite concerned. I found it daunting but, If you look after yourself and let everyone else do the same, it seems to work. Don't be rushed into doing something you're not happy with ie....

If it don't say you can't....................YOU CAN Reduce the health and safety commitments. "I am a big boy and can stick my finger in a meat slic...

I couldn't care less whether I use my real name or a soo-don-im. I do however care a great deal about abuse or personal insults. The rights and wrongs of Ron's actions aren't for me to judge, but would expect him to be treated fairly and would be up in arms against anyone who didn't. We all know Ron...

I would like to be able to fly VFR on top and to do so I need the ability to climb and descend through cloud. Having an old wooden wonder doesn't stop me doing this. I have the basic 6. It's the regulations and training in my permit aircraft needed that I hope for. I have no wish to fly an ILS or ai...

Ok, maybe I am being a bit enthusiastic, but a having D117 with a stall speed of 26 kts you don't need to go far before you have air under your wheels. Nor do you need to approach at 70 kts to get in short.

Can't let that go unanswered I'm afraid. 2 up,full fuel, weeks worth of camping gear,no wind,90 hp Jodel:............200 metres. Stopping the little beggar from touchdown is a slightly different matter though. About 250 metres, 1/2 tanks and little wind is about my limit. I do have a bias though. I l...
