RVs in Faro

Just got back from faro. A couple of UK RVs were parked up. Didn't have time to stop and chat, though.
Anyone we know? G-JWRV and something like G-CVEV?

Lord mounts?

Anyone know what these are from? They came with a bag of Franklin engine bits and have never been used. I've got 8 rubbers and 7 alli caps.

Surplus, so, feel free to make an offer.

My (albeit limited) experience is that throttle set, ignition on....and it goes. I've not needed any choke or re-priming to get it going again. Are you having issues?

Metric turnbuckles (Rallye)

I was looking for some turnbuckles and came across a Rallye being scrapped. I got the turnbuckles out but it seems they are Metric. Is there a source for the steel fork ends (I need 2 M6 fork ends) or is anyone looking for 6 barrels, 6 forks and 2 eyes?

The one Mark Langford uses is a narrowband sensor which tells you either rich or lean, not how much. Narrowband sensors have a voltage output of from zero to 5 volts but the range 'of most interest' is a tiny voltage near the mid range. Wideband has a linear output of voltage against air-fuel ratio ...

Top tips! Thanks for those. I haven't got a good pic of my installatin on this computer, but what I've done is to put a blast cooler from the pressure part of the cowl and Scat-hosed it to the regulator to feed air in and then cowled the regulator to help out. Maybe I need a bigger heatsink on the b...

John. Just a thought, but couldn't you get a few VW "J Tubes" and weld them together roughly so that you could have a temporary 4-into-1 system with a Lambda boss welded on? Might even be possible to have a complete kit of parts to loan out for wideband tuning? I don't know if Avgas makes a differen...

Appols for a bit of 'thread hijack" but I've got a Stromberg CD150 on a VW 1835 and have been calibrating the needle. I bought a Wideband Lambda sensor kit for a couple of hundred quid and have used it on the carb. Very good results. It showed a rhythmic cycling of fuel/air mix but I've realised tha...

It seems that capacitors are also rated by their voltage. Any suggestions as to which one I need (ie part number or supplier)? I've a suspicion that the Regulator/Rectifier might be on the way out. At high rpm I was getting an overvolt warning signal though the Leburg. A quick check on the internet ...

Right-ho. The noise goes almost completely away if the Bose X headset is used with the anti-noise on (Wow! What a headset!). I've tried it with a standard headset and there is still about 10% of the ratatatat noise from the pump plus some wvvvvvvzzzzz from the alternator. I can hear Cardiff tower fr...

Still got that engine, John? Anyway, I looked into installing 2 of those pumps in parallel but it seems they would also need NRVs in with them. I'm hoping that gravity + one pump will suffice since they are alleged to be capable of utilising up to 50% bio-fuel before the viton seals start to ...

Continental.
4.375 inch pcd, 3/8 bolts into 5.8 dowels

Lycoming.
4.75 inch pcd and the same bolt/dowels.

I got this from a text book. Not sure which "SAE" they are.
