Propeller wanted
A friend of mine who builds new bodies for vintage cars in Ash and Aluminium also builds specials as his hobby using old aero engines. His latest creation is a racer using a Curtis OX-5 which looks fantastic. His next project is a replica of one of the French Aero cars which used an aero engine with...

Re: Pulleys Wanted
Thanks Tony , I will have a look on their site. I have checked on the Aircraft Spruce catalogue and the closest seems to be 2.5" which doesn't quite fit as the brackets cable guides etc are all made for the 2.4" pulley.

Pulleys Wanted
I am looking for 4 off the old spec British pulleys PN AS103 for the Comet project. They are listed in the LAS catalogue but they don't have any. Size is 2.4" diameter with a 3/8" bore. There doesn't seem to be anything else which is close so unless I can find someone with any I will have to get som...

LAA Magazine
I am not sure if this has been discussed before but here goes. the latest LAA mag has arrived and it struck me that with all the talk in the media about plastics that perhaps it would be better if it came in a paper envelope. No doubt it will be pointed out that its cheaper in plastic, but in with t...

Ignition harness
A friend has asked me to try and sell a new ignition harness he has in return for a donation towards the Comet project. Its a full harness with 8 leads mag fittings plug caps etc and is new with a serviceable tag, albeit out of date. Its part number 10-721015-2 which I think is lycoming 0320/0360. I...

Re: Countersunk Bolts Wanted
Great news.. LAS have offered to send me the 4 bolts I need FOC to help the project, so you can stop rummaging through your spares box's.
I am however still looking for some of the larger de Havilland type turnbuckles as used inside the Tiger Moth wings if anyone has any I need 6.

Countersunk Bolts Wanted
Can anyone help with some countersunk bolts I need to put a fitting in the control box on my DH88 Comet project. I can buy them from LAS and they are only 14p each but they want minimum order of 20 which seems silly as o0thers will never get used. So what I need is 4 off countersunk bolts 10/32 or 3...

Instrument Repairs
Can anyone recommend a good instrument repairer please. I am working on the panel on Comet RCSR and have a number of original instruments from the 30's which need checking and overhauling. I have tried to contact Bruce Irvine who used to do them but think he has stopped now. Any suggestions please w...
