Continental Oil Cap

Looking for a serviceable oil cap for a C90. Don't need the dipstick, just the cap, spring and lug plate.

Re: "booking out" and SERA requirements

As I read it, responsibility rests with the aircraft commander.....

Re: "booking out" and SERA requirements

Bill, Rule 17(2) of the Rules of the Air Regulations 2007 states: 'The commander of an aircraft arriving at or departing from an aerodrome in the United Kingdom shall take all reasonable steps to ensure, upon landing or prior to departure, as the case may be, that the person in charge of the aerodro...

Aircraft Placards

Anyone got any recommendations for a company that does engraved plastic placards? White text on black. Ideally in the South East/Kent area I've had a reshuffle of my instrument panel and want some new ones. Ironically, I used to have an engraving machine in the 90s and supplied placards to quite a f...

Thanks chaps. I have to agree it is a lot of money for something that a £30K Super Cub can do but on one engine.. Two engines, twice the chance of an engine failure :-)

Looks good though :D

Lockwood Aircraft Corp AirCam

Has anyone built an AirCam in the UK? I see it comes as 'a kit', but does this mean it doesn't qualify for the 51% rule, or does it have to go on a CAA Permit without LAA involvement?

Just curious really, as although I'd like to build one, I haven't got the readies.....

Graeme, I've got a handheld Icom A2 in my D112, wired into a fixed VHF aerial and 12v 7aH battery power supply on a cradle between the seats. Works like a dream with range in excess of that expected from a handheld. I think the correct aerial installation is the key to the radio range. However, even...

Brian,

I've just read the Eurocontrol 8.33 implementation plans. What depressing reading... I'm tempted to throw the thing out and just fly around non-radio (which is mostly what I do now anyway)

VHF Radio Recommendations

I'm considering replacing my ageing Icom handheld in my Jodel with a fixed VHF radio. My choice is limited to 3 at the moment, all panel mounted.

Becker AR4201
Filser ATR833
Microair M760

Has anyone got any glowing recommendations of using these radios, or have any gripes about them?
