It seems that many pilots of LAA registered aircraft don't bother with an IMC since they can't legally fly their (our) aircraft in IMC. The associated knowledge and skills however could be a life saver someday..... But of course the question remains - why not allow IMC in appropriately equipped perm...

I'm guessing this has been flogged to within an inch, but what are the real issues against appropriately equipped LAA aircraft being allowed to fly legally in IMC?
Is there enough interest / realistic chance to lobby for this?

I am looking at an exhaust system that is certified to EASA CR23. Does this have any bearing on it's clearance for use by the LAA on a permit aircraft or does it still require a full mod?

Bought a new one, cheapest I could find was £298 + vat and that included Spruce and other suppliers from USA...........oh happy days...

The refurb pump has 6861 stamped on the flange.
The Continental part number is 631391



Most common pump number is 9867, this is not suitable for my engine

Peter, did you ever resolve? I've had an ongoing saga with my O-200. To cut a very very long and expensive story short, my carb had been fitted with a single piece ventuuri, but not the pepperpot nozzle. Replaced this at the weekend and it's like a new aircraft. Nearly +100rpm static and +100fpm in ...

Bench tested with good power and still dead.
I am guessing that together with it also needing gimbal bearings it might be an uneconomical repair....
Will investigate how much suction us required to drive DI and T&S and Artificial Horizon. If I have neough will go that way

Does anyone know the difference between carb part number 10-4894-1 and 10-4115.
Is one an updated number from the other, or do is one for the C85 / C90 variant? If different, is the difference the jetting?
