I currently own a Jodel D117 which I particularly enjoy flying. However she's an old girl and needs continual maintenance as everything is old and in decay. Downtime is inevitable with her so I want something new.

Took 9 months to get log in details after they lost my application, found it, duplicated it, erased both then got it right! Then the log in and password didn't work!

However the help desk were extremely helpful and at 23.45!

Just had a reply from Philippe, there are 30 registered so far 17 from the UK. No info on how many are Jodels (or other factory built a/c on permit). Not many considering previous years.

Also can't find the list of participants on the St Omer web site????

Thanks John, I also e-mailed Philippe to see about a temporary blanket exemption to this. I would like to take my D117 G-ATIZ but have booked in, in a spam can for now.

I hope it works JC as I'd much rather travel in a Jodel than a comfortable, quiet, fast, gas guzzling Arrow!

Either way I'll be there. It would be a great shame if the numbers didn't reflect the effort that St Omer aeroclub put into it.

I don't think it matters that they've been rebuilt several times. If you've got built by SAN (or whatever) in the log book then it's an ex factory built.

The latest from the LAA website is not very encouraging, especially as the Jodel fly out/in to St Omer is coming up. According to the web site it's going to take 3 months to sort out ....or you can pay 50 euros to get permission!
I think the 50 euros might put a lot of people off, I won't be paying ...

I use at Mio Digi-walker with built in GPS, extendable aerial (never needed it). Excelent GPS pick up and you can see exactly where you are on your chart. Never had a problem with north up - I can read a map in any direction! I use memory map charts for UK and France.
