50hr Check

Hi Apologies for an obvious question. The thing is it's just never come up before. Usually our group member who handles the mechanical issues, promptly does the 50hr check and oil change. At the moment he's off ill. So my question is how precisely on or within 50hrs does the check/oil change need to...

Taylor Titch??

Hi All,
I've heard some very mixed things about the Taylor Titch, and regrettably don't have a copy of the April 2019 LAA mag (with flight test) so I was wondering if anyone would care to share their wisdom?
Thanks,
Will.

Selling a VOR

Hi
Can anyone suggest a good place to sell a VOR. I know there's the 100quid SAles section on here, but I was hoping it might go for more as it's quite a good one, glide slope, no need for an intercom box etc.

Any ideas? I wasn't having much luck on ebay :(

Thanks.

Re: Jodel short strip capability

All Jodels are personal, my D120A for example has a cruise prop. So don't forget the prop, it makes a huge difference. Love the airbrakes though. Getting out of Netherthorpe, warm day, fully loaded, nil wind (but dry short grass), 490m TODA. Got out just about but I've never been so close to the opp...

Re: Best Low Wing Taildragger kit?

Good idea.
I'm curious about the view over the nose in modern kits. It seems like they're optimised to be trikes so they don't bother with a sloping down cowling.

Best Low Wing Taildragger kit?

Like the title says.
Ideally fast build. Obviously you have Vans (RV-14) and Zenair (CH635).

But is that it?

Opinions appreciated :)

Re: Hangarage Immediately Available on a Grass Strip

Sorry to seem critical, but like with shares for sale in group a/c, if you don't say where'ish it is, then it doesn't help much ;D

Paint - Fabric and Fibreglass

Hi, Hope this is an easy quick one for you all. Two questions: 1) I have patches of flaking paintwork on my Jodel fabric. For the purposes of touching up, is automotive spray suitable? 2) More seriously I think, I have a fibreglass replacement cowling that wants painting. I was thinking a colour mat...

Re: CHT Gauge vs DI

So how do you use the CHT gauge for leaning?

And as it happens I have access to an affordable DI.

CHT Gauge vs DI

Hi All,
Technical question here. I've a CHT gauge in my cockpit (attached to an 0-200). Is it worth having, as I'd rather like to swap it for a DI.

All advice appreciated.

Will.
