Am I correct in my interpretation that carrying a PLB will meet the requirement?

I fly an ARV Super2 which is on an EASA permit administered by the LAA. Can somebody give me a definitive answer as to whether I need to carry a PLB or ELT after 1 August 2016? Given some of the places that I fly over, it may well be a good idea anyway but I'd like an authoritative answer to this.
