Re: EC device approval.
Dear Ian and tnowak, Thanks for the reponses. Yes Skyecho2 is fully approved as far as CAP 1391 etc and of course we can ADSB out even with a non-squitter transponder. My posting was to confirm that there were no formalities when using it as far as the LAA is concerned. 'Wired in' EC devices need so...

Re: EC device approval.
Hi Ian,
Many thanks - yes - of course SkyEcho2. obviously a senior moment and I clearly didn't use a check list.
What with Sky demon and SkyEcho we don't need another 'sky'!
Question still stands 'though.
Regards,
Terry

EC device approval.
Having just bought a Skyguard2 I thought I should just check on what formalities there were for using it. Leaflet TL 3.03 is the place to find the answer I assume. There are many pages covering what has to be done but as far as I can tell the little sentence Devices that are ‘carry on equipment’ do ...

Corrosion
This must have been coverd before so apologies! My 11 year old Sportcruiser is showing one or two small spots of mild corrosion. Simple question - how to deal? Which of the various products - such as Alochrom 1200 etc - do members recommend? If the 'bubbling' of the paintwork is less than the size o...

Re: Formalities for fitting 8.33 radio
Hi, Thanks for the reply. I have checked the LAA information and agree 'install/inspect/LAAMOD7 form/flight test and flight test report' all to be sent to the LAA. Two questions: 1. Apart from the inspector's fee is there a further fee payable in this sequence? I can't find a fee mentioned for the M...

Formalities for fitting 8.33 radio
I would intend to fit the new 8.33 radion myself on my permit aircraft but I'm not sure what paperwork etc. is necessary.
Is an inspection required?
I guess there is a CAA/OFCOM form to fill in (where do I find it) - is there a fee?
Any other formalities?
Thanks
Terry
