Re: Re-weighing
Good idea to buy a set of scales, you will also need ramps or jacks, spirit levels or lasers, calibration certificates each year, plumb bob, straight edges and someone to prepare a spreadsheet to make the calcs easy and the examples for the LAA paperwork. I did this a few years ago but can only trav...

Re: What should our expectations be for the delivery of LAA Mag?
Not that much time criticality especially now as any landing vouchers are dated for the following month - Thankyou Brian for sorting that out. I suppose for me it is the irregularity that is troublesome, I kinda look forward to reading the mag on the first weekend, and if going away like to take it ...

What should our expectations be for the delivery of LAA Mag?
I would be interested to know what other peoples expectations are for the delivery date of the monthly magazine. For the last 6 or 7 months I have not had a magazine for up to 10 days into the month and in one month nothing arrived at all and I had to request a copy be sent by HQ. Here we are today ...

WANTED - Airspace Aware memory card
I'm looking to borrow or buy an airspace aware memory card for the Aware produced in the early 2000's by/for NATS.
Any help appreciated as mine has corrupt card and still think its a useful battery backed up device with charts that I want to give to a wannabee pilot.

Re: CAP1302 Transfer of non-Part 21 aircraft from Certificate of Airworthiness to Permit to Fly
Having been an LAA member for a number of years, when I transferred my Aircraft from a CofA to a Permit to Fly - I thought it was a great benefit to me; an LAA member.

New Thread on Permit turnround times.
I know we have a an old thread regarding Permit turnround times as I posted on it in 2021, but what are peoples experiences this year. My documents and payments have all been received at HQ but 11 days since the final one was sent in (ARV) I have no permit. The "My Aircraft" page shows docs received...

Re: web site!!!!
Well Done Lucy (or whoever produced) the new website, good to see that we have a multi-discipline engineer able to turn their hand to most technical challenges. The new website is head and shoulders above the last iteration we had with clear search functions, easily navigable engineering documents a...

Re: Use of Stainless Steel AN bolts in place of CAD plated AN bolts
High-tensile bolts are made from high-grade alloy steel, which has been quenched and tempered. They have higher hardness than standard grade 8 bolts, making them ideal for heavy-duty applications such as bridges, construction, mining equipment, and more. They are also resistant to corrosion and rust...

Re: FINAL COUNTDOWN TO POPHAM
Just for the hard of thinking - me, do we need to book both a slot and pay 12.50, plus a one day entry fee 10.00 ? Your landing fee of £12.50 includes the entrance fee for yourself and your passengers:- One landing fee of £12.50 covers admission for all on board for a single landing and stay of up ...
