Re: EFIS VFR Requirements

Very sensible advice gentlemen. Many thanks for that. I will take it up with my Inspector and the LAA Engineering office and see what they think.

Re: EFIS VFR Requirements

We have got a little off topic here. The question remains. Can another electronic instrument be used to provide airspeed and altitude information or must it be separate mechanical instruments? I too would like to use something along the lines of the ASX-1.

Re: Strut Required

Hi Nigel,

I don't get back to the UK very often, but, would love to come to a strut meeting. I am home at the end of August and the beginning of September. Are there any meetings scheduled around then? :?:

Re: LSA hours

Hi Jon,

Many thanks for confirming that for me. The aircraft is in the LSA category with an MTOW of 600kgs. It is the LSA version of the A22 Foxbat. Appreciate your help. :D

LSA hours

Can anyone advise me. Are hours flown in an LSA aircraft allowed to be counted towards my group A licence hours? I will be flying an LSA aircraft while abroad in an ICAO contracting state and would like to claim the time in my group A logbook in the UK. If I flew an LSA aircraft in the UK, the hours...

Re: The Sywell Strut is reforming - This Wednesday!

I would be very interested in joining the Sywell Strut. I spend most of my time out of the country but, would like to attend strut meetings when I am home. :D

Only two suggestions for next year. More litter bins to stop people from dumping cups etc all over the exibition area. Also please ask the airport not to enforce the daft parking system which resulted in aircraft being parked at the far east end of the airfield and 400 metres or so to the next lines...

According to the new website 'club' search there are no 'clubs' within 500km of my post code. I find this hard to believe. I have now given up that idea and will go it alone.

All in all I thought it was a brilliant rally. It was my 16th rally but my first arrival by air. What a great feeling. How many of you remember your first rally arrival? As to airmanship. I think we all saw some shocking stuff over the weekend. I feel it necessary to mention the d******d who took of...

I agree with Mike on this issue. However, if you do have the availability of a good local company who can apply an anodised coating to the more wear prone parts, this would also be benificial. It really would not be practical for homebuilders to try to apply a coating to the entire aircraft. As alre...

I have e-mailed Gary Johnson regarding this topic and he has confirmed that the CH650B is approved for build by the LAA. Many thanks to all for taking the time to reply to my post. :D
