Re: LAA Website
Thanks Brian, before I dip my hand in the fish bucket... Put this into context, you think the website looks and functions ok, does its job and was nice n cheap, easy to maintain for you and all that - great. Lets say, I venture into your territory and bring along to a mutually agreeable airfield, a ...

Re: LAA Website
The comment was about the LAA Website Paul, the http://www.lightaircraftassociation.co.uk site This is a boiler plate forum and I have no particular issues with it, it does whats it's supposed to but the www is the front window to the World for the association and it looks and works like an amateur ...

Re: LAA Website
Maybe I'll volunteer my time and expertise when the LAA volunteers my annual fee. Been there and done that in another association.![]()

LAA Website
I've not had much of a reason to log on for a while but was dissapointed to see the LAA have took a giant step backwards with an awful, awful website. Whoever decided that was a good idea should be slapped with a wet fish - do you actually have any comprehension of how the web works? Geez...

Re: Android (or iPad - ugh!) EFIS
The info about Android tablets is misleading at best and downright wrong at worse. Android tablets are made by various manufacturers and the verison of the OS makes a big difference to its reliability. There is no guarantee that anything with happen re Oracle/Google and Android is far and above the ...

Re: Air Drills and Compressor
Thanks everyone (except Roger for the condescending post). I was recommended to use an air drill after going on the LAA metalworking course! I'm also going to be using an air powered rivet puller. A purchased a small Chigago air drill in the end (CP7300RQC) which should suit the job perfectly. Seems...

Thanks Bill, Looking at the Sioux and Chicago air drills as recommended these eat up between 12-16 cfm depening on model, which even the top of the range quiet air compressors doesn't come close too (even at £1500 - 6.5 cfm). I'm struggling to believe that all aircraft builders have gone out and spa...

Air Drills and Compressor
Hi, I'm about to start building a Zenair CH650B and whilst my workshop is 95% complete, I'm not sure about a suitable air drill and compressor. I need to have a quiet compressor as the garage is attached to the house and one year old son sleeps almost above it plus I don't want the sound of a jack h...
