VW spark plugs

Hi All, planning on drilling the second set of plug holes in my new heads and was wondering what the received wisdom was re 12mm long or short-reach plugs? The current heads use 14mm plugs top and bottom, but I think 12mm on the bottom is probably better. Cheers, Dave

Hi Colin, I may well take you up on that. I'm not having much joy at all with sorting these mags out, and would much prefer dual electronic ignition anyway.

Interestingly, two brand-new Trigger Wheels systems is coming in cheaper than having my two old mags overhauled, so I'd certainly like to go that route!

Electronic ignition for VW

Hi All, I'd really like to put electronic ignition in my VP-1. Does anyone have any experience of the Trigger Wheels system, or a current contact for Leburg?
Cheers, Dave
