Re: Medical self-declaration
Thanks for the article Jon, I'm sure it's not easy to unscramble the mess we have had, probably a thankless task.. I have read it twice! And talked with three pilots last night and all still unsure. My question would be: I hold a nppl ( I think!). It may be EASA!? I only fly a permit aircraft( 2016)...

I had mysterious loss of charge & eventually found the rectifier/regulator was in doubt. The correct Rotax parts are hard to find at short notice from other than risking th...

Re: Insurance recommendations?
I was happy with Traffords! had my last plane with them but no claims so no advice on that. But I asked for a quote on my new Aircraft and they were more than double of Visicover. So I have switched and found the customer service excellent so far. and like us all hope I never have to use them. The o...

Re: Android (or iPad - ugh!) EFIS
I'd go with the iPad. Mark, You have obviously not seen the safety/security Issiues & update announced by Apple last week I flew a new aircraft last Sept, fitted with 2x iPad 10" units as main instruments. They were pretty hard to see in the bubble cockpit, and the companies test pilot quoted: they...

Re: Google Nexus 7 mounting
Hi, my system is a piece of alloy with ends formed in such a way that the nexus front cover slides into it, hope that's clear.. The alloy piece is bolted to the dash, simple and very effective.
I have tried various cup style mounts , all had issues,

There have been problems with the oil PRESSURE senders both old and the new digital ones but not heard any with the temp sender. You can check your gauge calibration by placing the oil temp sender ( same as the CHT sender ) in a cup of boiling water while wired up. Some time ago I found the cht tem...

Does anyone know of issues with these 912 senders? I've had to replace two in under 40 hours
