Can any wise person comment please, if a group rent an airfield from a landowner, if there was an accident and a claim followed should the group who rent the airfield be insured or will the ultimate liability rest with the landowner and his insurance.

It is sad to see all these
suppliers making headline advertising stating the looming deadline to be ripped off with a new 8.33 radio. All the aviation magazines are running these alarming adverts.

However you look at it we are being scammed out of our hard earned cash, its a total waste of money and a criminal waste of world resources.

Oh sorry I forgot to mention, if you throw your nice Bendix King valued at 2,500 pounds in the bin then spend another 2,500 pounds on a new radio the nice man will give you 20% back, Oh that's if you get spending quick before the nice man has given away his allowance and his little piggy bank maybe ...

So after this looming deadline its illegal to have a 25 kz radio on board your aircraft that works. This in effect will de value my aircraft by £2,000 pounds as I have a perfectly good Bendix King which now will be consigned to the dustbin. This 8.33 scam is descending into a complete farce what hope is there for the future of our hobby if we struggling pilots keep getting hit in the pocket by amongst others these idiot Euro Cretins.

Will an LAA Permit be granted with an aircraft which does not have a 8.33 compliant radio fitted, and if a non compliant old 25 Kgs remains fixed in the aircraft that will need to be disconnected for the purpose of passing the new permit.
