Re: Sindlinger Hurricane
According to my records the other known builders were a Mr Ashford, Arthur Winstanley and C. Turner. I assume that C.Turner was Chris Turner of Very Hot Wot and two seater Wot fame. I think that Chris passed away a few months ago. Arthur took his Hurricane project with him to Australia in the mid 80...

JAP J-99
Wanted a J-99 as a static exhibit - preferably one that is not airworthy , it needs to be nearly externally complete but not internally complete.

If you would like to donate them to the LAA Library we would be happy to have them. To save postage you could bring them to the LAA Rally or drop them off at Turweston while you are passing.

Re: CH 4 MOSQUITO PROGRAM
Why no mention of where it was built i.e. New Zealand. It did not rot away after the war in fact it outlasted the Spitfire at Exeter acting as a target tug which is why they could make 633 Squadron. Arthurs own story of how he overcame his disability to fly would have made a good story but this is d...

As LAA Archivist we have a set in our files at Turweston. We would be unable to copy them all because of intellectual property reasons but if you own an aircraft and you need help to facilitate a repair then i might be able to help.

Thank you Les and family for making us most welcome this afternoon. This must be one of the finest private strips in UK and the first one I have seen that looks as good as a garden lawn complete with stripes.

Re: Canopy Moulding
A useful source of canopies used to be motorcycles where the moulded windscreens were blown as a bubble and then cut to make two windscreens. G-BBBB the Mono has one and was one of a batch of canopies Pat Barker obtained in the 70's.

Even if we leave the EU it will not change such things. There is much talk about being like Norway and Switzerland and these countries are invariably members of the European Institutions since it is cost effective to be so. Air safety does not change at borders it is more effective to reach internat...

Re: Third Party Passenger Flying
As a 66 year old who now does not fly I am not involved. I was however at the NC meeting and this value was originally proposed to be 60 but 65 was the value we got after effort was made to up it to reflect our demographics. However 65 is the current limit for charity flights and for carrying scouts...

Re: Gypsy Moth For Sale
It will have to be a late Xmas present since the auction is not until Feb 2013. The aircraft has been in the Netherlands for some time. Otherwise it is just a Moth Corporation metal Moth without any real history apart from its participation in the film. If my memory is correct the film company wante...
