The strut tangs are a loose lateral fit in the fuselage fitting so the bolt should only be nipped up otherwise the fitting will be distorted. I think washer as necessary to achieve this with the plain shank taking all the load.

I have interpreted appendix 2 of GC no 6 (dated 2012) which concerns French microlights, historic aircraft and permit factory built aircraft (CDNR) as allowing visits of 28 days without prior notice or payment. I have not seen anything different. Have I missed it?

Donald. I thought the fee had gone by 2012 as the general concession states no prior permission required for 28 days consecutively.
