Rob, I think I am one step further on than you. I have just purchased an English wheel from Justin Baker www.justinbaker.co.uk I purchased the Raptor 2000 in kit form. After a lot of thought decided at £299 I would go ahead and if all fails can always cut my losses on ebay. Hopfully you can see my e...

This will come out a bit dark as the original is also dark but will be readable and have the information you require. If interested please pm me with your email address. I am assuming this will not upset any...

Rob, Playing devils advocate here. Lets's suppose you have set up a company rebuilding permit engines. I approach you with a Gipsy major that needs exactly the work that your engine needed and you sorted for £3000. How much are you going to charge me? What paperwork are you going to supply me with ?...

Tail Wheel Spring Material.

I am rebuilding a Luton Minor. The tail wheel leaf spring as was fitted is best described as less than fit for purpose. The drawings are a bit vague on material spec as they just call for spring steel. I have made a new part using material from an old land rover leaf spring but as I am unsure of the...

I have been watching this subject with interest, as I am about to strip and rebuild the VW engine of my Luton Minor re-build project. I am thinking of swapping the Lucas mags for electronic ignition. My main thought was to improving starting as I have been told my example could on occasions be a bit...

Not sure if this helps but for many years I have been using "Saftek" to re line the brake shoes of vintage motorcycles. They offer a range of materials. I send the old shoes by post with a cheque. They strip off the old linning and then thoroughly clean the shoes, then new linings are bonded and bak...

I have spoken to Chris regarding the "104". This refers to the drawing number. He has told me that he has about 56 different designs and all have there own unique drawing. Obviously if you require more details on this you have to speak to Chris direct.
