Re: nppl info

Hope you got this sorted - changing address with the CAA is far harder than almost any other organisation out there but should not have a charge, it can now be done online - search SRG2156, ID can be done with you taking a photo of you holding your ID (passport or driving license)

Prop wanted

Once we complete our Ma5 Charger rebuild we will need a new prop, o360 engine and the last prop was HOFFMANN HO 27HM-180-138, found one on AFORS but much courser pitch so not really suitable, wood preferred but we will look at metal if needed

Re: NPPL info

Thanks Ian, I had seen that, from the bits I have read the NST and GST should be done separately but another Examiner is saying that not only can they be done together but that they MUST be done together but I cannot find any reference for either!

NPPL info

Looking the other day for NPPL(M) to SSEA conversion and all NPPL info seems to have gone, where can I find this now? Really looking to see how the test is to be done?

Fuselage repair

The undercarriage collapsed on our Ma5 Charger, we have advertised it as a project but ideally would like to get it back flying ourselves, most of it we can sort but the fuselage repair is a bit beyond our capability- needs both bottom longerons repairing and where this is needed there are two clust...

Restoration project

Looking for offers Our lovely Marquart Ma5 Charger suffered a failure on the undercarriage and is now stripped down ready for rebuild but unfortunately too big a job for us, this aircraft has been built to a higher max weight than the original and will take two up and 60L fuel for aeros, handles rea...

Anyone for a project?

Unfortunately the undercarraige on our Marquart Charger gave way on landing a coule of weeks ago and the insurance is writing her off as rebuild costs are expected to be over the insured value of £40k. Most of this cost (apart from the engine shockload) is labour so would be really nice if someone w...

Re: LAA amateur built aircraft flying to France post Brexit

Any progress on this, I know we probably cant go anyway because of Covid and some with a LAPL might have a further problem but be nice to know where we stand!

Re: Software packages for Instrument Flight Training

The commercially available flight sims are not bad for learning the basics, especially the radio nav side but I would say have instruction for the actual instrument flying, one thing you will not get on a computer sim are the false sensations that you can get in a real aircraft.

PM sitting in outbox

Can someone explain why a PM will sit in the outbox rather than actually sending?

Re: DfT Issues New Guidance on Leisure Flying

Hi Steve,
I have emailed Penny which I believe is being passed on to you but they should at least be allowing open cockpit from 29 March as this was permitted under open air recreation pre lockdown!
