The NACA: The Most Important Government Agency You Never Heard Of

While the title probably doesn’t apply to most aviation buffs, this Lance Geiger (The History Guy) segment is a great summary of the history and impact of the NACA.

Re: Sindlinger Hurricane

Does anyone know if Sindlinger Hurricane planes are still available for purchase or have a second-hand set they might be willing to part with? Cheers, Matthew

Re: WANTED: Turner TSW-2 plans

I heard directly from James Woolford, builder of G-BLPB, the second (and last) TSW-2, that there no finalized plans were ever distributed. James and his partner worked from limited plans that have long since deteriorated, and worked closely with Chris Turner to fill in the blanks, so it appears that...

I am looking for a set of plans for the late Chris Turner's TSW-2 two-seater derived from the Currie Wot. Thanks!

Have you tried contacting Parma Technik, even if you have to use Google Translate? https://www.parmatechnik.cz/contact/

Turner TSW-2

Hi, does anyone know if Chris Turner of Turner TSW-2 fame (a two-seater evolved from the Currie Wot) is still with us? Were plans ever made available? Thanks! Re: 4 stroke 3 axis microlight

The OP hasn't stated how many seats are required but here are a few that might work: Jodel D185 https://img2.aerokurier.de/image-fotoshowBig-53e5abfd-1240529.jpg Nicollier HN 800 Week-End II https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8WlCWmSyKgk/Wir7cqLuKHI/AAAAAAAAA5Y/GV5JltSvg9Q32Q2xLYYSqWhugjDksaX9QCLcBGAs/s1600...

Re: Low cost Hangar

You could inquire about planning permission for temporary fabric structure, using a nice commercial fabric building as an example, and then make your DIY shelter look similar.

Re: Low cost Hangar

Is planning permission required for a temporary fabric structure (tent)? If not, then perhaps a fabric roof over your concrete and wood fenced compound might do the trick. In fact, if it looked like a fabric livestock shelter, it might not even get a second look. For example, see http://www.northern...

Re: Wanted-"Replica plans" SE5A Drawings

Glad to hear it Alan, please share your impression of the plans and, I hope, the progress of your project. I have always liked the Replica Plans SE5A but there are just too many airplanes for one lifetime so I'd love to follow your build for some vicarious fun. Cheers, Matthew

Re: Wanted-"Replica plans" SE5A Drawings

You might also consider the Currie Wot plans available from the LAA as a number of Wots have been modified as stand-ins for WWI fighters over the years including the S.E.5a.

Re: FREDs at LAA Sywell 2017?

Thanks, Rob. I am Matthew, not Eric, but very much appreciate that you are carrying the flag for Clutton FREDs. And thanks very much Steve for the pics! No sign of the Cornwall kids and their FRED projects?

FREDs at LAA Sywell 2017?

The Sywell rally is going on this weekend but I am on the other side of the Atlantic. I'd really appreciate photos and details of any Clutton FREDs that might be there. I have heard that one of the student projects from Cornwall to build one FRED and restore another may be on display as well. Any an...
