Re: WANTED - Airspace Aware memory card
Many thanks Tony and apologies for only just finding your response.
SkyDemon seems to be my best option, but at present my flying is mainly very local.
That may change for the better in future and if and when that happy day comes around
I'll revisit SkyDemon.
Thanks again.

Re: WANTED - Airspace Aware memory card
Thanks for confirming my suspicions John. I was expecting that would be the case.
Looks as though Sky Demon or Easy VFR might be the only options. I can't justify the extra cost
for the sort of flying I am likely to be doing at present.

Re: WANTED - Airspace Aware memory card
Is Airspace Aware still fully supported?
I don't seem to be able to find any up to date references online, although the devices occasionally crop up for sale on E Bay etc. The "Aware" would be ideal for my very limited needs, but would be useless without regular updates, I assume.

NPPL Medical Self Declaration Renewal via Cellma
I have a valid NPPL and my existing medical Declaration (DVLC Group 1 terms) expires on 9/9/22. I have re registered with the CAA web site and activated my account, but am having trouble finding the new "Cellma" online Medical Self Declaration Form. Reference to the LAPL keeps popping up, but not mu...

Re: TUBULAR FERRULES IN STEEL PLATES "TOOLING"?
If I understand your requirements - the Boredom Fighter uses "Bleriot" type ferrules - brake line/ Bundy steel tubing in short lengths, with each end swaged into a smooth bell shape using a vise and a pair of suitable small home made turned steel formers, housed in hefty ply guides. Not easy to desc...

Re: Continental A-65 Fuel pump inj. cover plate pn 21350
Thanks Mike and I'll give e bay another try. So far I haven't been able to find a suitable small piece of aluminium alloy ( any kind apart from 1050 - plain aluminium ) , ideally about 3/8" thick and wide enough to end up with enough to extract a blank for the part. Not sure I could afford an 8ft x ...

Continental A-65 Fuel pump inj. cover plate pn 21350
My A-80 will require a cover plate to seal the hole in the underside of the crankcase, where the old fuel injection unit used to be. The part number in the manual is 21350/ gasket 21404. I have the old intact gasket as a template, if needed. The injector unit is in fairly good condition, but parts a...

Re: Airspace Aware ( for Android )
Many thanks Ian and I'll start looking for something suitable. Apart from the convenience of having Airspace Aware I am unlikely to use a smart phone enough to justify having one. A small screen satnav that could run the Aware software would probably be a much better option and use less battery life...

Re: Airspace Aware ( for Android )
Many thanks Duncan. Exactly what I need to know.
I just need to buy a basic smart phone with a GPS, I believe and an Android system.
Regards.

Airspace Aware ( for Android )
From recent web searches it appears the Aware GPS and related software may no longer be available. If this is the case, are there any similar alternatives that might run on a suitable smartphone ( with which I am completely unfamiliar ... ) or a small "SatNav" type device, perhaps? Only the basics a...

Re: CAA Consultation
I intend responding as best I can to the so called consultation, but my efforts are likely to be frustrated by a lack of time, diminishing reserves of patience and limited ability to get to grips with the gobbledygook. This may well have been the CAA's intention. Is there no way to get straight to t...
