Re: funke TRT800H and SW v5.2 for ADS-B

FlyingJohn - you say you have an early version of TRT - exactly which version? I have a plain TRT800 (converted TRT600) with SW 4.8; tried connecting from my Pilot Aware without success and assumed that the SW upgrade was needed (though I have had conflicting statements from Funke). If you have had ...

Re: Torque figure for Goodyear wheel nuts

Thanks Chris, agree with that, but I was looking for the torque on the nuts holding the split wheel together.

Re: ALL MEMBERS ! Please fill out those proxy forms..!!

Particularly by trying to read significance into the absence of an LAA number. I note the CEO falls into the same category! Would one think he was also a new member?

Re: ALL MEMBERS ! Please fill out those proxy forms..!!

Dave beat me to it! Some additional wording (from my logbook!) that is relevant: "Whenever two (crew) members acting in the same capacity share a particular operating duty ie each performed the duty for particular periods only and neither acting under the supervision of the other, the departure and ...

Re: ALL MEMBERS ! Please fill out those proxy forms..!!

Steve: You're misreading that note in the logbook. "Dual or P2" doesn't mean that "Dual" is the same thing as "P2". It's not. P2 can only be logged if the aircraft legally requires two pilots, and the person logging it is filling the second pilot role. Dual is PUT for a single pilot aircraft such a...

Re: ALL MEMBERS ! Please fill out those proxy forms..!!

It is important to note that Brian Davies has stepped down as Chairman of the LAA. Tracy, were did you obtain that information. I have not seen it announced, so is it appropriate to place it on a public forum before official announcements have been made ? I see you have not read page 1 of the Octob...

Re: ALL MEMBERS ! Please fill out those proxy forms..!!

I am appalled at the slur on the good name of Harry Hopkins and his team . John : I would like to make it absolutely clear that the good names and reputations of Harry and the awards chaps remain as blemish-free now as they always have been and have never been called into question . I am sure that ...

Re: ALL MEMBERS ! Please fill out those proxy forms..!!

Chris - I fill in my logbook as P1for all flights if Ihave control. P2 if the “passenger” takes contro and only if qualified to do so. Thread drift, but surely you can only record P2 if you are a second crew member of an aircraft which requires 2 crew operation? @Trevor Correct. Just shows how peop...

Re: ALL MEMBERS ! Please fill out those proxy forms..!!

.......... Both sides in this sorry saga have been guilty of misleading statements and exaggerations, but neither really concern me. This issue should never have been dealt with via a members motion. The board themselves have stated the motion ‘came as a surprise’. They should not have been put in ...
