it really was no hassle to read the airside sheet and keep it for future airside entry. The guys doing the job were good humoured and polite and certainly deserved to be treated with respect. Better surely to have a a few moments 'inconvenience' than not have airside access. Or have someone who gen...

Had a fantastic time! A few people commented that they found the information hard to find which may account for what seemed like a high number of botched calls. Although, that said, the relevant AIC was referenced from the NOTAM so I'm not sure how hard the people who never did find it really looked...

If everything posted on the LAA domain is going to be assumed to be an official viewpoint then I'd rather no longer be associated with it by name in any case. Frankly right now, being linked to an organisation which treats, and speaks of, its membership with such contempt as displayed in this thread...

leiafee. As per my previous post. WE know who everyone is. The motivation is that YOU the poster can't hide behind a psuedonym Hide from who? If I'm really being libellous or obnoxious, then surely the process is the same as for more or less every other bulletin boards on the fact of the internet -...

I tend to use my own name anyway, but am still confused by the motivation for this... We all signed up with our names and membership numbers. Surely the LAA board administrators already know (or could easily find out) who we are. Why is it any one else's business? I'd want a journalist quoting me by...

Leia, as a member of the LAA I am entitled to express my view on this board, and I make no apologies for doing so. It is by the way, just my view and not a representation of official LAA policy. AOPA is implying it alone brought about the result of the fuel tax issue, and that is simply not the cas...

The statement was initially accepted by BMAA management but it was commented that had to be passed around the BMAA Council. A week later there was no negative response so the announcement was posted on the LAA website. Have to say if someone took my "lack of definite no" as a "yes go ahead" I'd be ...

Country shows are a good idea, and not obscenely expensive for stands as I understand it. Heck, my local county show is even ON a airfield! (Haverfordwest). It's not news to anyone, I suppose, that GA as a whole has an image problem. It's seen as expensive, noisy and environmentally unfriendly. Thos...

Mike, you may know the answer to that one actually? Part of the problem innit? If you were perfectly happy putting in "VFR" without knowing what it meant then it perhaps wasn't such a good idea (It was the same as putting 120 in). It wasn't always there, it was intoroduced in the latter part of the...
