Re: Permit renewal, two day turnaround
Mine took 5 working days. Sent by email 13:02 on 26 July (automatic acknowledgement) and received 08:59 on 2 August. The permit renewal only appeared in My Aircraft on the website on 1 August. Application Received, A/W Report Received and Payment Received were all marked Checked: Y, but there was no...

[quote="Steve Slater" ... We are following up on the recent reports of issues with German and Austrian authorities, and we'll report back as soon as we have their responses. If you search for 'gocardless' in your mailbox, you will almost certainly find previous emails from them relating to your LAA Direct Debit agreement.

Re: Flying in Germany and Austria with permit aircraft
Nick,
By you and I reading different AIC, we discovered that the Italians have omitted the requirement for an ICAO licence in the latest version. This was presumably to make allowances for the sub-ICAO EASA LAPL, but ...
I will carry copies of both versions when I visit Italy.

Finally, here is AIC 01/20, which I referred to. Sorry for the confusion caused.

Damn! I posted photos of a 2008 AIC, instead of the 2020 version I was reading here. Sorry about that. Will rectify later.

Re: Flying in Germany and Austria with permit aircraft
How did you arrive at that conclusion? My reading is that permission is not required for homebuilt and historical aircraft registered in ECAC member states. I see no mention of the pilot licences required to fly them. G-reg homebuilt microlights are covered by that AIC. Third country factory built m...

New rules? The wording of the French decrees remains unchanged since 8 January 2018, except for the reinstatement of the UK, which was excluded for three months following Brexit.

Re: New CAA Advice Confirms National Licence Holders Can Fly CofA Aircraft
LAPL holders have always been able to fly CofA aircraft. It would be very strange if a Part FCL licence was not valid to fly Part 21 aircraft.
