Hi Ian,
That's some very useful and time saving information.
Thank you so much.
We will go ahead with fitting a resistor as you described and see how we get on.
Many thanks,
Garic

Re: Auto Mute with Sigtronics Sport 200 and Yaesu FTA550
Dear All, Have just been talking to "Dino" over at Sigtronics in California and he has confirmed that the SP 200 should not be muting the intercom when receiving inbound transmissions. He also confirmed that fitting the "optional" 1/4 or 1/2 watt resistor into the handheld radio headphone circuit sh...

Re: Auto Mute with Sigtronics Sport 200 and Yaesu FTA550
Hi Ian, "yes", we installed the SP200 following the diagram for the Yaesu 750, as found on the Sigtronics website. The one bit we haven't implemented is the "optional" 1/2 or 1/4 watt resistor in the blue circuit for the aircraft headphone jack. The brown and white wires connect directly to the jack...

Auto Mute with Sigtronics Sport 200 and Yaesu FTA550
Dear Forum, We have recently installed a Sigtronics SP200 intercom and a Yaesu FTA 550 handheld 8.33KhZ compliant radio in our Jodel D1112. All functions are found to be working satisfactorily but, annoyingly, all inbound transmissions mute whatever is being said on the intercom. Not a problem if fl...

Re: Wiring Required for an iCom CP-20 12v to 11v Power Sourc
Hi John, Many thanks for your reply. I've talked to iCom, who were v helpful and they recommend insuring that the converter is wired directly to the battery rather than the solar power controller, which is what our current installation achieves. Wired directly to the battery, the radio works well so...

Wiring Required for an iCom CP-20 12v to 11v Power Source
Hi All, we are in the process of replacing our trusty iCom A4 handheld radio with the 8.33 compliant A6e. The A4 was a straight forward 12v dc affair but the A6e has a requirement for 11v and comes with a 12v to 11v dc power source. We have a 12v 7ah battery trickle charged off a solar panel which q...
