Re: Vortex generators from STOLSPEED
We fitted Stolspeed vortex generators to our Jabiru 450, very good improvement in stall speed, much more controllable on final approach and in the landing phase, the Jabiru had a tendency to "stop flying" as it approached stall speed at the flare but now a controlled slower flare is the norm. Re: heat exchanger

heat exchanger
During my pre flight checks I noticed that my heat exchanger for my cabin heat was loose on the exhaust stub (sort of a sleeve that fits over the stub) is this normal or should it be tight at each end ?
any thoughts much appreciated

What interface are you using with the Yaesu? I use a pilot 200 interface for my Icom, I presume it won't work with the yaesu unit. any thoughts?

Re: Oil temperature control
Fit a TOCA (thermostatic oil control apparatus) makes warm up quicker and keeps the oil where it is needed. I got mine for our Jabiru from Steve Rance, works a treat.

Re: Sunglasses
I got my "reading sunglasses" from e bay, the top of the lens' are normal sunglasses and the bottom part has the magnifying portion and they are fantastic for glancing down at the map in your lap.
