Re: Flying in Germany and Austria with permit aircraft

Stephen
The worry here would be that the pdf form related to your link is dated 2017 (pre-brexit) and the other one relating to the very significant fee is dated 2022.

Re: Flying in Germany and Austria with permit aircraft

Stephen I have flown to/into Italy many times over the years but tread carefully if you are planning to go there now. ECAC agreement amounts to a recommendation by ECAC which member states chose to implement. At present, Italy appear to have taken the stance that since the UK has left the EU and is ...

Re: Flying in Germany and Austria with permit aircraft

Hi David Regarding Austria, the last time I flew my RV6 to Voslau was 2006 so any advice would not be particularly recent :( I made a number of trips in the pre-covid year, 2019 into/across Germany in my RV7 so a little more recent. The LAA TL 2.08 shows both countries as being ECAC member states wh...

Re: 2019 Rally

I see that the plea to not exclude other pilots flying in by booking similar slots on multiple days fell on quite a few deaf ears then. I also noticed that someone (mistakenly?) has booked two slots on consecutive minutes. That gives me an idea, perhaps I could book all slots 5 minutes either side o...

Re: Goodbye Panshager

Sad times. But the fight is not yet over. there is a large group of local residents and aviation enthusiasts who are campaigning actively in support of the airfield, to get it removed from the local development plan and to bring it back into operation. Not much we can do individually perhaps but sma...

Panshanger Airfield

As some of you may know, Panshanger Airfield has been under threat of housing development for some time. However, it was with some surprise that I received the following email from the flying club last week: It is with great sadness that we have had to produce this special release about the Aerodrom...

Re: Do we really need a "signals visible from the ground"

I have never seen the early implementation of a "stealth sign" specified in number 4 so obviously it has worked really well. :?

I have had the same excellent service every year for the past 14 years. But a word of warning, I posted this years renewal application last Monday, phoned up engineering on Friday to be told that it hadn't arrived. Grounded by the post office then. The LAA seems to be providing the First Class servi...
