Re: Replacements for legacy (Whelan type) wing tip nav/strobes
Hi John, I am not sure what aircraft you fly, nor am I familiar with the Whelan type strobes, but I fitted combined nav/position/strobes to my Europa from this company, so may be worth a look. https://www.aveoengineering.com/lsa-experimental-ul-kits-and-gliders/ I also recall from last years Rally t...

Re: SEHT
I bought a set of SEHT 40-80 recently, and the service from them was excellent. They are very comfy to wear, and I would recommended the Bluetooth option to help future proof your purchase, as more connectivity options become available. I specifically chose the Bluetooth option so that I could use t...

Re: LAA Rally 2019 Duplicate bookings.
I would like to fly in to this years rally but all the slots are full. Despite the request not to book more than one slot 315 slots are booked to only 142 aircraft. That is some pilots have booked two or three slots. Some of the duplicates are with different pilots but most are the same pilot. Perh...

Re: Future of the Forum
Bob, What browser are you using? If you are using Internet Explorer try using a different one like Chrome or Edge. I see lots of different results in how things are displayed when switching between browsers. Tony I mainly access the Forum from my tablet using Chrome. I think the problems I have out...

Re: Future of the Forum
E-mail notification of PMs works okay for me. Have you checked your e-mail client spam folde Tony Nowak Thanks for the suggestion Tony, but I had already done this. I suspect the problem is linked to my broken profile, as apart from not being able to edit my avatar, several other functions from the...

I checked my profile, and I already had the Notify on Private Messages chosen It might be a good idea to check that your profile has your email address. To check go to User Control Panel>Edit Account Settings>Email Address 2. An e-mail to a recipient is useful when there is a response or update to ...

Re: Future of the Forum
Thanks for all the responses I also think the forum should remain limited to members only use and no pseudonyms. Brian, totally agree but please keep it 'up-market' and apposite. Mike, again, totally agree. John, thanks for the tips. I checked my profile, and I already had the Notify on Private Mess...

Future of the Forum
Can I start a constuctive debate about the future of the LAA Forum ? I am dismayed that it appears not to be used as much as some others out there (Flyer, PPRune etc.), and I think this is mainly down to its design, and lack of User Friendly features. Certainly the content, or what there is of it, i...

Re: Converted Auto Engines for permit aircraft
I have just watched a couple of videos from Oshkosh 2019 from the homebuildhelp website, which brings the question from this thread back to the fore. Has anyone in the UK had experience with installing either Aeromomentum or Viking Engines in their project ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mMBxwFrw...
