Manston, 17th September updated.

In another rare opportunity, the Kent Strut invites LAA members and very likely some others to a second fly in at Manston on 17th September.PPR is essential, via Polar Helicopters on 01843 823067. Re: BANK FRAUD - LAA STATEMENT and REPORT

I ran out of time at the start of the second chunk (nearly two hours on-line by then, I think), so missed the post-AGM discussion which was evidently informative.

Re: BANK FRAUD - LAA STATEMENT and REPORT

I shall not feel well enough informed to vote on anything if the discussion on the scam is after the AGM. As others have said, bringing this matter forward seems essential if the LAA wishes to maintain the confidence of its members.

Elsewhere, there are hotter heads than ours.

Re: Lucy Wootton Appointed New LAA Chief Inspector

Good news. I hope she enjoys the new role and doesn't rush off too soon to pursue those other ambitions mentioned on her video.

Re: Lonely aircraft

Having been on the receiving end of a couple of these letters that developed into email exchanges, I can assure you most owners understand fully and of course applaud your taste. From each I gather there was a high percentage answering, even if the answer wasn't positive. It also acts as introductio...

Rally thoughts

What a superb Rally it was, overall. Having left on Saturday afternoon, I can't really claim a complete attendance, but Thursday to Saturday seemed successful. My randomly selected number theory: 75% followed the procedures, 20% made a decent stab at it and 5% were complete numpties. Other theories ...

Re: Rally question

Ignore previous...I found it in the obvious place. According to the AIC, it's ACGS all four days.

Rally question

It's not that important to know now, but may I ask if the service for Thursday arrivals will be as before with normal procedures (until, as last time, it was decided it was easier to go from AFIS to rally procedures when there were a bunch of arrivals rolling up)? Is it air-ground already at times? ...

Re: Battery article Jun 21 LA Magazine

I suspect that the apparent indifference is similar to that experienced everywhere by those seeking or happy to receive feedback*; I'd bet sixpence that many read the article and found it interesting but will not get around to do doing anything as radical as responding to you. This forum isn't parti...

Re: Little Mongeham: a new airfield

A week or two left for responses. The vehemence of the local campaign seems to be an attempt to generate numbers of opponents. All that is asked is that anyone commenting, for or against, reads all the proposal carefully.
