Inspection

Are you saying this all came loose between your Permit Renewal Inspection earlier this month and Sunday? It sounds to me like it should have been covered by the Mandatory Inspection MOD/204/013, at that time.

Spars

SPARS is a set of notes which Inspectors have for their guidance. You mean TADS and you'll find them in the Engineering Pages. Evans Aircraft are to be found on page 4.

I agree with John. In the early Moths they had a big glove compartment an altimeter, compass and a clock and sometimes an ASI and a simple slip ball. All of which can be fed off the pipework to the main cockpit. You just need enough to keep the passenger from getting bored! So how do you go about p...

Somebody important ought to ASK WHY it is being implemented

You mean they won't show up as returns on the Radar? Maybe you should be asking yourself how Radar works first of all

There are windfarms springing up all over that part Nigel and it's Scottish Government policy that they be built. If the windfarm in particular is the one to the south of Strathaven airfield then I think there are going to be over 200 of them operational, sited on quite high terrain and therefore th...

When it comes down to it, a VW is much more reliable than a Rolls Royce, Lycoming or whatever. 20 odd million of them says so. I totally disagree with you Bill. I worked at a flying school which had 20 Cessna 150's doing about 700 hours a year each and i can only remember one failure which ended up...

Rob, it's MPD 2008 004. I keep the MPD's in my faves so not sure where it would be in the Engineering pages offhand. I'm sure you'll be able to locate it.

After fitting the tyre, over inflate by about 10psi. Give the wheel a good bounce on the floor, rotating it as you do. Refit to the axle and let the pressure down to what it should be.

Fitting a restrictor wont reduce the pressure, only the flow. You need a way of regulating the pressure down with perhaps a by-pass back to the tank.
The best alternative is to fit a pump which does the required pressure.
