LAA Website obscured

Each time I visit the LAA website there is a blue information panel that pops out and remains blocking a portion of the page.

Any tips on how to get it to vanish please?

I don't think the DGAC will allow an LAA PTF aircraft to be out on to the "F" reg.

Permit Renewal Excellent Service

A word of thanks to the folk in the permit renewals office.

I posted my renewal paperwork off last Thursday and received the new laminated permit in the post on Saturday.

This is very much appreciated as the weather was fine on Sunday and I could fly.

Thank you

Anonymity on the Forum ? It doesn't work does it.

How does this work with say the question about flying a permit a/c to Switzerland when the person asking the question and the responder both use no de plumes?

Looking through several other posts there appear to be many other people who do not use their proper name.

How is that possible?

New engines

The dual electronic ignition systems will not go down well withe the LAA as they insist on at least one magneto.

Do UL offer an alternative system?

Parachutes and Light aircraft

It's a shame that the two cannot exist together on the same airfield. In France Vannes, Quiberon and Royan are three airfields that immediately come to mind where parachuting and GA exist at the same airfields without any problems. Must be something to do with the air molecules in UK airspace that p...

Who can sign off recurring inspections ?

Can someone please tell me if it is ok for a PPL to sign off a recurring inspection (each 50 or 100 hours) on an LAA permit aircraft or whether it has to be done by an inspector? IE. Inspect an exhaust system and engine frame for cracks. I notice that the previous owner of my aircraft has signed the...
