Re: gps overlay

I used to use Garmins MapSource to add content. I still have an eTrex Summit (b/w version) kicking around somewhere.
Gut feeling there was also a third party application, but I cannot find it in the stash of applications.

Re: Two of Bob Whittier's articles in 1962 Sport avaiation W

Great new Richard. Never throw anything like that away. I have taken to scanning anything that I may use one day, then throw it out. Hard disk space is cheap and it unclutters the house. Done right it is also easier to find again... sometimes :-) It will be good to see the Mite Finished. All the bes...

Re: Two of Bob Whittier's articles in 1962 Sport avaiation W

Hi Richard. I could find nothing by Bob that fitted your description. As you can imagine there are many articles on airfoils and Reynold numbers. The closest I could find was Improved Airfoils For Low Reynolds Number Applications by Harry C. Riblett (Great name for an aircraft builder/aerodynamicist...

I'll have a look this evening.

Bob seems to have written a lot. I assume that the year can be outside the 1962 publications?

Airfoil selection is by Ray Borst, Though Bob did write that month it was about something else. He did also write the NACA tests. You have a PM

Hi Mal,
I had to replace them all on our PA17. Opted for the stainless steel version. The only supplier I found was Univair. It is possible to make your own?

Re: Converting plans/templates into AutoCAD files

I've tried it in the past and found that it was quicker and easier to redraw the whole diagram or just the parts you want in 3D CAD.

Re: RANS S21 Outbound

The issue is not so much whether the LAA approve it, but is there someone willing to take it through approval. If RANS has the design data and is willing to supply to the LAA the path will be much easier (and cheaper) Have a chat with the LAA Engineering team as consider whether you are willing to b...
