Re: VW Cylinder Head Machining

Same with small Continentals. However removing the sump, requites removal of the carb and associated cables every 25hrs. Clearly not practical, so advised to flush sump after draining with fuel.

Re: MOD 3 form

My assumption would be to provide evidence that the modification still complies with the certification (e.g. CS-VLA). The flow chart does say "as requested", so I would guess you will need to have feedback from Engineersing after you have submitted your Mod 2 form?

No Issues for me. Whether password is cached or not, I always go straight in.

Note, there is a quirk. User name is case sensitive, which is not the norm.

Re: Rollason Condor tips

Hi Alan, I am not aware of any parts diagrams for the DR1050.

I haven't had to face this yet, but there are known issues with DR1050 and D150. Is it the wheel end or master cylinder that is jambing?

Cheers
Ian

Re: Buying a home build kit plane from SA Whisper X350

Are you sure that the stripdown and inspect it not for importing an LAA appoved design that has been built outside of the LAA control?

You need TL 1.07

Re: Buying a home build kit plane from SA Whisper X350

Getting LAA approval for a new design is not a walk in the park. You will need full co-operation of the manufacture to undertake any tests the LAA require. They will also require a great deal of documentation from the manufacture that would not normally be made public. Though if it is a long establi...

Re: Designing a plane...where do I start?

Have you seen the articles in the last two magazines by Mike Roberts? I will be following this closely as it has been my wish to scratch design something. I am enjoying Mikes approach and hope he is able to keep up regular articles. I have read many of the suggested books and are able to follow them...
