Re: Thatcher CX4?

There should be two on G-INFO. One is mine G-CXIV The CX4 is plans built. There has been some attempts to make full or partial kits in the US, but they don't seem to stay in business for long. GRP parts have been consistantly available for a while http://www.cx4community.com/emartin.htm Greg Westbur...

Re: Rans S6 Rudder

If it's that bad the I would be asking the BMAA and or LAA for flight test reports to see if there is a comment on this matter. Also in the report for the G-MYES accident the LAA have a significant safety action point regarding handling, has this been done? Strong centering springs would be a fudge,...

Re: Rans S6 Rudder

it's quite common for aircraft designs to have springs or bungees from the rudder pedals to the bulkhead. Normally only be enough to tension the cables, not to centralise the rudder.

Does the Rans S6 have a problem in this respect?

Re: Jodel 1050 fuel drains

My drawings show NF(AFNOR) M16 diam 1.50 pitch thread in the bottom of the rear tank and the drain tube at the firewall for the front tank. My drains are supplied by Le Bozec (LB) and marked with 56077 and 10-73. Nothing from LAS seems to match that. BTW, does it actually need replacing? Mine have a...

Re: Limited Company vs Trusteeship for shared aircraft

Ah! I understand now. Yes we do have a trustee, who is the chairman of our group. And we have a signed agreement.

Thanks Mark

Re: Limited Company vs Trusteeship for shared aircraft

We don't even have a trustee. Each group member signs an agreement.

I'm now worried that we have over simplifed it.

Re: Radial engines?

Was it the Rotec engine? I wasn't particually looking out for radial engines, so didn't see them.
Or Verner Radial? IIRC the importer (not manufacture) was The Condor Aviation http://condoraviation.co.uk/

Re: Brize and Oxford ACP

The trouble is with the term “Open”. It’s the wrong name for class G airspace. It should be called Common Airspace, as in Common Land. Open implies empty, unused, not owned. Common tells every developer precisely who the owner is; every individual who has ever used it, wants to use it now, and thos...

Re: Pulleys Wanted

Could they be metric? 2.4" is an odd size, but is close to 60mm The other suggestion is to contact Ralmark, who do a wide range of aircraft control pulleys, but not the size you do want. They do have an option for custom sizes. Derivatives of these standards can be offered for special applications. ...
