Many thanks, Penny.
I guess the same question follows for availability of UL91. The Total maps (via links on the LAA site) are a bit out-of-date....
I'll research elsewhere as well and report back.

Availability of Mogas / UL91: UK, Europe and US - update
Are there any reasonably up-to-date sources for location of airfields both in the UK and Europe with a Mogas / UL91 supply?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Re: 8.33 on second VHF box?
Many thanks - I'll take a look at the article.
I think our neatest solution is a portable transceiver using a simple 'automatic' antenna switchbox (just arrived, from the US, and haven't had a chance to examine).

Re: Aircraft insurance during build
Nearer 2% needed a handkerchief, in our case, Paul, but subsequent quotes appear more reasonable. Do Jennings cover all risks inc. engine mounting, running and taxying? One quote we've had covers most build risks, taxying and 15hrs test flying, and looks hopeful. A slight spanner in the works has be...

Re: Aircraft insurance during build
I realise it's frowned upon (for reasons I've never fathomed) to shop around for insurance quotes, but the two (so far) which have come in have totally different conditions, and both, in my opinion, exceptionally high cost. One covers all ground usage, including engine runs and taxi activities; the ...

Re: LAA Engineering Course Info?
Well, there's a Rotax course, rumoured to be starting 9th November, for instance.
I can see the mooted course list, but nothing clickable, and no syllabi (?). Am I going to the wrong page or website? Training and Education / Courses via the home page on this website?

Re: Aircraft insurance during build
Ian - another factor to consider is the increase (hopefully) in value as the build progresses. Also covering parts of the build being worked on remotely (i.e. panel/avionics/wiring in one of our group member's home).
The quote I had covered engine runs and taxiing, both theoretical in our case.

Aircraft insurance during build
Has anyone any tips on insuring an aircraft during construction over 4 months?
One quote we had from an aviation broker struck us as eye-wateringly high. Are there any sensible alternatives such as adding to a domestic policy (secure workshop on private land)?

LAA Engineering Course Info?
Can we gently nudge whoever is responsible, to add some details (dates, syllabus, cost, timetable etc.) to the LAA course information page? They were promised for Sywell.
One or two course are starting relatively soon, and it would help to make plans in advance.....
Thanks

8.33 on second VHF box?
I've lost the relevant document, but will it be possible to install non-8.33 kit on a permit a/c as a backup VHF comm? I think it was some date in November '13 for a new installation, but can't remember if a 2nd box was OK as backup.

USB panel charger/sockets
There's been discussion elsewhere about charging USB-compatible devices from a/c electrics. A simple solution, but prone to distributing RF interference, is a simple converter plugged into your a/c's 'cigar' lighter. We're trying this custom-made solution from the States: http://goo.gl/oB2SLG; not c...

Re: Legal notices to display in permit a/c?
Many thanks, Ian - CS-VLA, I can see, promises hours of rich study potential ( http://goo.gl/YTVc2T ), with rich nuggets to savour. I particularly enjoyed the paras. on ashtray provision for smokers and control knob shapes.

Legal notices to display in permit a/c?
We're currently designing our Eurofox panel - could anyone give us a reference to the notices we have to display in permit a/c? For example: Limiting speeds, pax notices, warnings, no smoking, insurance plates etc. We've seen many random examples, which take up a lot of space. Are positions laid dow...

Re: Dual oil pressure indication on Rotax 912S
Many thanks, Steve - that's appreciated. I realise that it's probably considered unnecessary, but, in theory, are there any other Rotax engine parameters we can simultaneously monitor on a standby instrument if the EMS fails? That is, beside RPM and Oil Pressure. Fuel pressure, for instance? We were...

Dual oil pressure indication on Rotax 912S
We'll be utilising a MGL EFIS/EMS (see: http://goo.gl/7XvrdK ) and wanted to preserve a low oil pressure indication (preferably gauge and/or warning light) on the Rotax 912S in case we have an EMS failure.
Could anyone suggest a simple way of achieving this?
