Permit aircraft for training

It would be useful if this could be addressed in the current situation, a lot more tandem and open cockpit aircraft on permits these days than certified aircraft and these would be a lot easier to instruct in maintaining some separation between instructor and student

Permit renewal?

Permit will expire end of March, I am sure there are many others who will have permits expiring in this period which, as things stand will of course mean a large number to renew when restrictions are lifted, has any thought been given as to how this will be addressed?

Mags Service

We need the 500 hr mags service on our RV and also have the ones on the Ma5 heading that way, the prices quoted on these seems a bit over the top for what is involved, does anyone know where we can get these done at a less eye watering price!?

LAA DTO

Looking at the DTO is it not a requirement that each aircraft type is registered with the CAA under the DTO? has the LAA done a blanket registration for all LAA types or should the aircraft be on the PCS training event form?

Re: P1 and P2

[quote]1. Alone in the aircraft, PIC & P1 (and solo) of 1hr logged. 2. Flying with non-pilot friend, as above but not solo/quote] Solo is not something that is required to be logged, until you have a licence you cannot take passengers so these will be solo anyway, generally solo or not is irrelevant...

Re: NPPL(M) upgrade on permit aircraft

Well further investigations says that you cant do this, interestingly our inspector gave incorrect reasons, basically saying that it was training so considered commercial operation, in researching to reply though I found that one requirement is the pilot must hold a licence in the same aircraft cate...

NPPL(M) upgrade on permit aircraft

With the new rules on training on Permit aircraft and an NPPL(M) upgrade now requiring a full course we were wondering if we can use a permit aircraft for this under the new rules, I would say the answer is no but want to be sure on this though I think we can still do an SSEA upgrade.
